What is Hypnotherapy?

During naturally occurring hypnotic states the subconscious part of our mind (who we are) becomes more accessible and more receptive to positive suggestions that we find acceptable to us. So if you have a desire to be more motivated or to have more confidence, then in these states when suggestions are given to support what you desire, they become more amplified, helping you to achieve what you desire. Hypnotherapy uses these natural states to deliver therapeutic suggestions and therapeutic processes, which help you to achieve the positive outcomes that you desire.

What happens in a hypnotherapy session?

Every session is unique and tailored to your individual needs.

Most people describe it as a type of daydream, where they are deeply relaxed and learn to make positive changes to their lives.

Hypnotherapy does not need you to know all the reasons for your worries or fears.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on the issue, and of course every individual is different.

As an example, my Smoking Cessation therapy is one extended session, with a ‘safety net’ session (if required) within 3 months, but weight control requires a longer treatment plan.

The therapy is always centred around you and I will act as your guide and provide support.

Do you offer any guarantees?

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that you will definitely change your unwanted behaviours, thoughts or feelings because there are so many factors that can affect the outcome.  Individual results can vary.

For hypnotherapy to be successful you should be open and committed to change.

How much do sessions cost?

I offer a phone consultation FREE of charge.  You can then decide if it’s right for you.
The first session is £110 and lasts between 1hr30 and 2hrs.  Subsequent sessions are charged at £80 and last 50mins to 1hr.

The popular Smoking Cessation extended session is £225 and includes a ‘safety net’ session (if required) within 3 months.

 

How do online sessions work? Are they as effective?

Studies show that Online Hypnotherapy can be just as effective for many issues.  You just need a good Wi-Fi connection and a PC/Laptop with a webcam, or a Tablet.  Headphones can help give an enhanced experience.

How can I verify that you are a licensed hypnotherapist?

I am a registered, fully accredited and insured hypnotherapy practitioner.
